Rehearsals to start the week after the Thanksgiving holiday – and continue for three weeks through mid-December, and then resume again the first week of January. We understand that the holidays are coming up, so we will be working around people’s schedules – however, for us to get enough rehearsal time in for this show, it is imperative that we begin before the New Year. We roughly need 9 weeks of rehearsal, 10 hours per week.
As for the show itself, we’re looking to open the third weekend of February, on Friday, 2/19 – and run performances Fridays and Saturdays @ 8PM for four-six weeks through Saturday, 3/26 (8-12 performances total). Besides the show dates and times, the only other firm commitments will be the cue-to-cue, tech, and dress rehearsals – which are always scheduled from 4-7PM the week of the opening (i.e, the week of 2/15).
Character Descriptions and Notes (Storyline):
All roles have been cast except for two – see below:
[MICHELANGELO] Male. Late 20’s-Early 30’s. Caucasian. Very handsome. The tortured artist – a rogue, a rascal. Uses his charm and good looks to win over any man or woman he meets. Seems to move through life with ease – yet never content, because he’s not able to get what he truly desires. LEAD
[DEL MONTE] Male. Late 40’s-Late 50’s. Caucasian. Still a good-looking man, but has maybe let himself go a bit as he’s gotten older. Silver in hair is fine/good. Sophisticated and a bit suave. A Vatican cardinal – and wealthy patron of the arts. Well-revered – has stature in the community. LEAD
