Nan Dutton has been a top TV & Film Casting Director for over 30 years. She began her career as an actress on Broadway, appearing in two hit shows in a row – Agnes Of God and Loose Ends. But after that auspicious beginning, Nan decided to leave acting behind and turn her sights to the world of casting. After a brief stint in New York, she relocated to Los Angeles, and began working in film and mostly television casting.
Nan has cast many series and network shows. Most recently, she completed an 8-year run on CSI: Miami. Her other credits include numerous shows such as JAG, Star Trek: Voyager, Nash Bridges, Millennium, In The Heat Of The Night, Equal Justice, MacGyver, and the pilot for L.A. Law, to name a few. Nan has also cast a number of feature films, most notably Nine 1/2 Weeks.
Nan loves to work with actors – and has devoted much of her time to educating actors about the ins and outs of the acting and casting business in various workshops and seminars. We are very pleased to have Nan Dutton taking time out of her busy schedule and joining us at Studio C Artists to teach for the month of November. She has so much experience and a lot to teach actors about perfecting their craft.
